Our team understands the weight of this decision and is here to offer support beyond medical care. We provide resources on what to expect and how to prepare, allowing you time to make informed, compassionate decisions for your pet. As part of our home care veterinary service, we work closely with you to create a comfortable experience, offering suggestions for how you might wish to create a sacred space for your pet’s passing, such as including their favorite blanket, toys, or gentle music to create a truly peaceful setting.
In addition, we offer guidance on the next steps following your pet’s passing, including options for aftercare, memorial services, and honoring their memory in ways that resonate with you.
The next step in the euthanasia process is to arrange for your pet’s aftercare. You have two options.
You can keep your pet and transport them to the pet cemetery on your own by calling Final Gift at 1-800-477-5044 or visit their website at: finalgift.com
Alternatively, I can take your pet, but you will still need to call or email Final Gift to make all arrangements through them. With this option, Final Gift will pick up your pet from me, but all questions or further planning for special urns, paw prints, etc., will be directed to Final Gift.
